Q. Do I
have to perform any Puja / Rituals after receiving the items ?.
A.
For
Rudraksha beads
Your mala and beads have
been blessed and energized before sending to you. You can start wearing
your mala on any morning after bath as per your convenience. Just follow
these simple steps:
-
Keep the mala in a plate in front of you and
sit or stand facing East.
-
Light incense/dhoop and/or oil lamp.
-
Wash the beads with water or lightly
sprinkle water on them with a leaf or flower chanting "Om Namah Shivaya"
27 times.
-
Dip a fresh flower in sandal paste and offer
on the mala.
-
Then chant the Beeja mantras stated below 27
times each for the mukhis in your mala. You can purchase the beeja mantras
cd from this link:
http://www.rudraksha-ratna.com/dispProductlist.php?beej-mantras&subcatId=523 -
Ask blessings from Lord Shiva and start
wearing your mala.
It is recommended to wear the mala 24 x 7
for the first 40 days. When not wearing keep in a pouch or at a clean
place, preferably a plate in your altar. Wear next to skin.
Daily worship process:
-
You may chant the Beeja mantras a fixed number of times
everyday (3 times or 9 times or 11 times or 27 times or even throughout
the day silently in mind). The more you work with mantras, the more
powerful the mala becomes.
-
There is no precaution as such to be taken.
Just wear it everyday..
-
There is no need to take off mala any other
time during the day, and avoid touching the beads with your hands as far
as possible and keep them under your shirt.
-
It is necessary to wear the
mala continuously (except possibly in the night if inconvenient) for the
first 30-40 days and then relationship with the beads is established.
Thereafter even if you wear for a short time, the beads are attuned with
you.
The Beeja mantras for different beads are as follows:
1 mukhi Rudraksha – Aum Hreem Namah
2 mukhi Rudraksha – Aum Namah
3 mukhi Rudraksha – Aum Kleem Namah
4 mukhi Rudraksha – Aum Hreem Namah

For Yantras
Worship of Yantras
-
Simple worship involves lighting an oil or
ghee lamp in front of the Yantra.
-
Sprinkle some water with a flower on the
yantra and wipe off with a tissue. Apply some sandal paste and raw rice on
the yantra.
-
Now light dhoop/incence and rotate it in
clock wise direction at least 12 times chanting the mantra for the yantra
or the Universal Sound "Om".
-
Another practice is to hold a single
rudraksha bead/ parad bead/ rudraksha mala and rotate it similarly
clockwise around the yantra. This process of clockwise rotation is a must
to energise the yantra on a regular basis.
-
Also some natural Itra/incence is applied on
the Yantra in the centre.
-
It is recommended to offer some food to the
yantra everyday. For this raisins and dry fruits/nuts or roasted gram is
recommended. This prasad is later consumed by the devotee to get the
blessings of the yantra dieties.
