This idol made in heavy brass features Brishaspati Dev mounted on an elephant. Decked in ornaments, He holds a Conch and Lotus in His arms and raises His hand in blessing pose. Brishaspati is one of the Navagraha (nine astrological planets) who governs the planet Jupiter. He is also revered as the Guru of Devas and governs over spiritual values, knowledge, finances and abundance. He is associated with the colour and Thursdays are considered to the best day for worshipping Him.
