Goddess Matangi is one of the Mahavidyas or ten Tantric goddesses. She is a ferocious aspect of the Divine Mother Durga. She is said to be the Tantric form of Sarasvati who is the goddess of Art, music and learning. She governs speech, knowledge, music, literature, poetry, dance and all other art forms. Goddess Matangi is depicted having emerald-green complexion and is known for Her two main forms namely Ucchishta Matangi and Raja- Matangi. The word ‘Ucchishta’ literally translates to left-over food or partially eaten meal. In Her Ucchishta form, She is depicted holding a noose, a club, a sword and a goad in Her hands and is also referred to as ‘Chandalini’. This form of the Goddess is often offered leftover food or partially consumed food. The offerings made to this form of Matangi are mainly performed by left hand. She is often associated with inauspiciousness, pollution and impurity. However, in Her Raja -Matangi form which is one of the most popular forms, the Goddess is pictured playing the Veena instrument and is shown flanked by parrots on either side. She is said to represent the 64 arts. She presides over planet Mercury who governs intelligence.

Puja Basket/Tokri consisting of energized Items will be shipped to the Yajman/Participant on their given address after Matangi Puja rituals are completed. These Items have been used & energized in the puja and hold on to the energy of mantra chanting & rituals of Matangi Puja.  

This Puja Tokri will consist of:  

Matangi Yantra: Yantras are geometric representation of deities. This yantra can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja altar. The best direction for the yantra will be North East Facing South West 
7 Mukhi Rudraksha: 7 mukhi blesses the yajman with prosperity and abundance. This can be worn on the right hand as a bracelet for best results. You can get in touch with RRST therapist for guidance  
Silver Tabeez: This amulet consists of Matangi Beej Mantra written on Bhojpatra which was energized in the puja. It can be worn in the neck  
Molly Thread: This Holy thread can be tied on the right hand  
Dry Fruits Prasad: These were offered to Matangi Devi during the puja and can be consumed by the Yajman/Participant  
Puja Coins: Puja coin of Ganesh, Laxmi & Saraswati will be sent which can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja alter and blesses the yajman/participant with prosperity & luck  
Tilaks: Haldi Kumkum Sandalwood Paste/Powders are sent which can be applied on the Yantra, Deity Idols or Forehead while doing puja  
Vibhuti/Holy Ash: The Ash from the Matangi Homam will be sent which can be applied on your forehead, throat, chest, biceps  
Holy Betel Nut: : Betel Nut decorated in holy thread will be sent for good luck  
Prosperity Bowl: A Prosperity Bowl consisting of Gomati Chakra, Cowry, Sriphal, Lotus Seeds and Shell to be kept in cash box or wallet or money lockers for financial prosperity

The below mentioned instructions are just suggestions to attune to the Matangi Puja, however due to hectic/busy lifestyle one may not be able to follow all the suggestions mentioned below and it is completely okay you will still receive the benefits of the Matangi Puja 

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja 
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja.  
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions

What will be required from my side to perform Matangi homam online?

We will require your birth details (date, place and time of birth)  
Gotra or Clan Name or Family Name (if you don’t know these details you can provide us with the name of your Father & Mother)  
Sankalp or Wish/Intention of Matangi puja which will be translated into Sanskrit and recited by the Head Priest  
Your Photograph  

Note all the above details are optional and we can perform the puja on your behalf even if you do not have all the details mentioned above. We can perform the puja just with your Name also.

How many chants of Matangi Puja should I perform? Matangi puja price

The number of chants depends on individual choice. Higher the number of chants the more powerful the effects of the puja. Higher number of chants will also increase the number of priests, puja samagri, time required to finish all the rituals which will increase the cost of Matangi Puja.
