Rudra Abhishek

The word Rudrabhishek is made by cojoining two words 'Rudra' and 'Abhishekam', Lord Shiva is also known as Rudra and Abhishekam means “bathing”. Abhishek is the age-old Holy ritual of pouring various liquids like water, Ganga water, milk unto Shiva Lingam this ritual is considered very auspicious by Hindus. According to Vedic scriptures Rudra Abhishek is the best way to worship Lord Shiva. During Rudra Abhishek, Lord Shiva is worshipped in His Lingam form and powerful hymns/mantras dedicated of Him are chanted, along with offering of various sacred items. The sacred items used in the abhishek process include flowers, belpatra, milk, coconut water, gangajal, honey, curd sugarcane juice, sandal paste, aromatic oils, bhasma, incense and camphor. Apart from these objects, other offerings too are made on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. The ritual of Rudrabhishek is performed to appease Lord Shiva and to earn His divine grace. Rudrabhishek puja is one of the purest and holiest rituals in Hinduism.   

Its significance is also mentioned in Ramayana where Lord Ram performed the Rudra Abhishek before embarking on his journey to Lanka to defeat the demon king Ravana.

Om: Universal Sound   
Namah: means to bow   
Shivay: Refers to the Lord or inner self.   
Thus, this mantra means “I Bow down to Shiva”. It also refers to bowing down to your own self as Shiva is our Higher consciousness.

Puja Basket/Tokri consisting of energized Items will be shipped to the Yajman/Participant on their given address. These Items have been used & energized in the puja and hold on to the energy of mantra chanting & rituals.   
This Puja Tokri will consist of:   

Shiva Yantra: Yantras are geometric representation of deities. This yantra can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja altar. The best direction for the yantra will be North East Facing South West  
7 Mukhi Rudraksha: 7 mukhi blesses the yajman with prosperity & peace. This can be worn on the right hand as a bracelet for best results. You can get in touch with RRST therapist for guidance   
Silver Tabeez: This amulet consists of Shiva Beej Mantra written on Bhojpatra which was energized in the puja. It can be worn in the neck   
Molly Thread: This Holy thread can be tied on the right hand   
Dry Fruits Prasad: These were offered to Lord Shiva during the puja and can be consumed by the Yajman/Participant   
Puja Coins: Puja coin of Ganesh, Laxmi & Saraswati will be sent which can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja alter and blesses the yajman/participant with prosperity & luck   
Tilaks: Haldi Kumkum Sandalwood Paste/Powders are sent which can be applied on the Yantra, Deity Idols or Forehead while doing puja

The below mentioned instructions are just suggestions to attune to the puja, however due to hectic/busy lifestyle one may not be able to follow all the suggestions mentioned below and it is completely okay you will still receive the benefits of the puja  

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja  
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja.   
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions

As mentioned above it is possible that due to your hectic/busy lifestyle you may not be able to follow these instructions, which is okay, you will still receive the complete benefits of the puja.   

Once online Rudrabhishek Puja is booked our team will calculate the most auspicious timing as per the panchang (Hindu Calendar) and email you the schedule (Date & Time) of the puja along the number of the puja coordinator.

What will be required from my side to perform the online Rudrabhishek puja?

We will require your birth details (date, place and time of birth)   
Gotra or Clan Name or Family Name (if you don't know these details you can provide us with the name of your Father & Mother) 
Sankalp or Wish/Intention of the puja which will be translated into Sanskrit and recited by the Head Priest Your Photograph 

Note all the above details are optional and we can perform the puja on your behalf even if you do not have all the details mentioned above. We can perform the puja just with your Name also.

How many chants of Rudrabhishek puja should I perform? Cost of Rudrabhishek Puja
