Falling of Tithi Trayodashi on a Saturday is called as Shani Trayodashi. The Lord of this Tithi is Kamdeva. Ruler Shiva vanquished Kamdeva by smoldering him to fiery remains. This marks the Pradosha Vrata on every Trayodashi generally celebrated by the devotees of the Lord Shiva.

Saturday happens to be the day of Lord Vishnu. Trayodashi is for Lord Shiva. Along these lines the consequence of Shani Trayodashi is identified with the both divine beings.
