This set contains a Desiger Earthen Pot, Nava dhanya and Red mud.

An earthen Designer Ghat or pot with vibrant decoration, for Navrati Ghat Sthapana, which is done on the first day of Navratri festival for ushering prosperity, abundance and pleasing the Navagraha(nine planets of Vedic Astrology). Navratri is one the biggest festivals for Hindus, celebrated across nine days when the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped with devotion and fervor. This Designer Navratri Ghat is hand painted with beautiful traditional design patterns and accessories. The Navratri Ghat represents Divine Mother’s power and vibrancy. An earthen Diya is lit which is meant to burn through Navratri.

On the first day of Navratri, women conduct the Ghat Sthapana ritual by sowing Nava Dhanya which are nine different types of grains and Jow(Barley) in the earthen pot. The earthen pot is filled with clean soil and grains are sown at a specified muhurat (auspicious time) on that day. The Ghat Sthapana(installation) is done in the Puja room or Puja alter, in front of Maa Durga’s idol or picture and the Divine Goddess is invoked to reside in the Ghat and bless the house with abundance, auspiciousness, good luck and Her blessngs. The Navadhanya and Jou grow through the nine days and the saplings are offered to Goddess Durga on the last day of Navratri, Dassera.
