She relieved Indra of his curse from Sage Gautam and took the defect of Indra having Thousand Eyes on her, thus She is worshiped for relief from all diseases and good health. The term "Indrakshi" is derived from "Indra" (the Hindu mythological king of devas) and "Akshi" (meaning eyes). As a result, Indrakshi is frequently interpreted as the one with divine and all-seeing eyes. The yantra represents Indrakshi's watchful and protective gaze, guarding her devotees and bestowing strength, courage, and victory. Worshiping the Indrakshi yantra will help you overcome all of life's difficulties and obstacles. It assists you in achieving all of your objectives. It helps you achieve great wealth and success. Regular worship of the Indrakshi Yantra is believed to help people overcome obstacles, dispel negative energies, and bring about positive changes in their lives. The Indrakshi yantra bestows the ability to organize and structure all matters on the material plane, as well as to manifest our material goals and grow in the spiritual plane.

What is Indrakshi Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Indrakshi Yantra depicts the image of Indrakshi Devi along its geometrical shape in a magnificent representation. The Indrakshi yantra is a tool for meditation, worship, and seeking the goddess' blessings in various areas of life. The yantra is made up of sacred geometrical patterns and symbols that are thought to attract positive energies and divine vibrations.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Indrakshi Yantra comprises the Sanskrit syllable Shreem etched at the centre of the yantra or Bindu. This is surrounded by two interlocked Squares. The purpose of engraving the Beej Mantra on the Bindu point of the Indrakshi Yantra is to enhance the connection with Her divine energy and inviting Her blessings and protection. The Square (Bhupura) represents the Earth Element that resides in the physical Self and the material world that we live in. Two interlocked Squares are pointing to 8 directions namely East (Purva), West (Paschima), North (Uttara), South (Dakshina), Northeast (Ishanya), Northwest (Vayavya), Southeast (Agneya) and Southwest (Nairitya). In Hindu rituals, temple architecture, and the placement of deities in sacred spaces, these eight directions are frequently honored and symbolized. It is believed that they influence various aspects of life and are essential for maintaining balance, harmony, and spiritual progress. The 8 Directions also removes the 8 Vastu doshas and represented in interlocked Squares fosters material expansion and protection from all negativity. On each side of the yantra, there are gates that are opened up to invite the viewer into the center. These portals are also a passage between the higher realms and the world of material existence. They are also a sign of the opening between the person's inner and outer worlds. Taken together, this is an effective and powerful manifesting yantra with enormous material and spiritual expansion potential. This sacred geometry is associated with continuous prosperity and protection.

The term "Indrakshi" means "she who has the eyes of Indra," emphasizing her connection to Indra and the qualities associated with him. She is generally referred to as Indrani and both names are used interchangeably. As the name implies, Indrani is the consort and queen of Baghawan Indra, the Deity of Thunder and Lightning, and the King of the Devas. She is a deity who is referenced in the Hindu scriptures. Ancient scriptures – Rig Veda – holds her in high regard and praises her exceptional and exquisite beauty. Indrani is also renowned by several other names with Shachi being the most popular. Shachi is believed to stand for Shakti, the power and Indrani is regarded as a formidable divine being. She is also referred to by other names like Mahendri, Aindri, Pulomaja, and Poulomi.

Indrani or Indrakshi is frequently depicted as a goddess with many arms holding various weapons and power symbols. She is revered as a fierce and protective deity, especially for blessings related to strength, courage, prosperity, and triumph over obstacles. Indrani devi is believed to be in a Godly avatar and even though she was born in the family of the Asuras, she is considered to be honorable, pure, compassionate and exceptionally gorgeous.

Indrakshi Devi is depicted as a woman of indistinguishable beauty, whose allure almost no one could resist. With everyone yearning deeply for her, she ended up becoming an object for envy and heartburn for several. Her expressive eyes have a special type of magnetism that works well in drawing people towards her.

She is also observed as one of the Saptamatrikas aka the seven divine mothers. Apart from Indrani, the others are Brahmani, Vaishnava, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Varahi and Chamunda.

How to Meditate on Indrakshi Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Indrakshi Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Indrakshi Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Indrakshi Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1st Layer of the main Square to the 2nd Layer of the upwardly pointing Square to the 3rd Layer of 8 small Triangles converging in the outermost part of the Squares and ponting outwardly to the 4th Layer of square area with four mantras etched on each corner to the 5th Layer of the outermost squares on the borders fixing the gaze on the Four at the same time. These are the steps or Avaran of Indrakshi yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Indrakshi Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Indrakshi Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
