Peridot Stone

Peridot is a mineral Gemstone composed of a magnesium-iron silicate complex. In old England, peridot Gems was equated with sapphire as one of the 'noble rings'. In fact, the name is very similar to the Arabian 'feridaat' meaning 'gem'. The stone was also very familiar in middle-age France. A very unique visual property of peridot is its olive green colour. Gemstone minerals are usually available in numerous colours, but Peridot Gemstone has just one characteristic colour. In fact, the mineral from which Peridot Stones is composed of is called olivine.
