Of all the months, Shravan (July-August) is the most auspicious. It is a sacred month of absolute fast and spiritual activities dedicated to Lord Shiva. This year it is celebrated from July 10 to August 7 in some states and from July 24 to August 21 in other states. During this month the cosmos is charged with Shiva energy and vedic rituals are performed to please Lord Shiva. This is the time when Lord Shiva drank the poisonous Halahala that emanated from Samudra Manthan between the Devas and the Asuras.

The Shiva Purana glorifies Lord Shiva as: A man with meditation on Shiva and perseverance and a wise man who wears Rudraksha of Shiva gets rid of all the sins and attains the supreme goal of the human life. And Shravan month is the greatest opportunity to associate with the all-auspicious Lord Shiva through the means of Shiva Puja, Rudraksha, Rudra Abhisheka and other auspicious activities. A Shiva Puja during this month is highly recommended as Shiva is popularly worshipped with Abhishek ritual which involved bathing the Shivalinga with water, milk, curd and many other aromatic liquids and offering various fruits.

At Rudra Centre, we conduct Pujas at our own Temple installed in our office premises in Mumbai. We have a team of well-versed, karmakandi priests from Shivkashi Temple who perform Pujas as per Vedic rituals. You may call the Pundits for hearing your Sankalpa (wish being taken) over Skype and would receive blessed Prasad and photographs/ DVD of the worship ritual. See Puja temple
