Annaupurna Yantra is ideal for use in the home or in a business dealing with food and hospitality. The name ‘Annapurna’ itself stands for ‘giver of sufficient food’ with ‘Anna’ signifying ‘food or grain’ and ‘Poorna’ meaning one who is complete, perfect, or whole. With the blessings of Annapurna Devi, we can consume food and survive in this world. She not only offers nutrition to the physical body but also the soul in terms of enlightenment and provides energy to achieve wisdom and knowledge. Annapurna Mata is believed to be an avatar of Mother Parvati, the spouse of Bhagawan Shiva and is one of the many forms of Shakti. Consequently, worship of Annaupurna Yantra bestows health, wealth and prosperity. It fulfills the material requirements of the devotees but also spiritual needs. Married women can pray to Annaupurna Yantra for the long life of their husbands and wish for a happy married life. You will always find plenty of fresh and healthy food in households that are devoted to Maa Annapurna. What is Annaupurna Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Annaupurna Yantra promises to bring the worshiper an abundance of materialistic wealth. Annapurna Yantra will ensure that there is never shortage of food where it is installed. It has also been shown to be effective in hastening the manifestation process. If you want material gains, the Annaupurna Yantra will grant your wishes and provide them to you.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Annaupurna Yantra has very intricate, complex and unique geometrical patterns which are not seen in other yantras. With etched mantras on it and a Shaktona on its Bindu or Centre Point, it has a main upwardly pointing Triangle followed by a larger downwardly pointing Triangle from the both upper sides of a big Square enclosing it. The combination of these triangles and in particular the larger Inverted Triangle (Shakti) adjoined to the Square (Bhupura) is associated with the providing Mother, the materialization of nourishment as the square stands for the materialistic world we live in. The four sides of the Square are bordered by a Circle in the outermost part of the diagram, representing continual flow of nourishment in constant progression and expansion. As a whole, this yantra is extraordinarily beneficent, eliminating scarcity and poverty while increasing the potential for prosperity and spiritual growth that never ceases to expand.

The iconography of Annapurna Devi is depicted as a gorgeous young woman with a fair complexion, bright round face like the full moon, three eyes, high breasts, and four hands. She is adorned with ornaments and holds a bedecked pot with tasty porridge in her lower left hand and is portrayed holding a golden ladle, decorated with shimmering jewels in the right. Symbolically, it is implied that her worshippers will never run out of food. Her other hands showcase the Abhaya - the protecting and Varada - the boon-giving poses. In a few places, she is depicted as sitting majestically on a regal golden throne with a crescent moon adorning her head with Bhagawan Shiva standing adjacent to her with a begging vessel, pleading her for alms. You will often find several images of Maa Annapurna decorating the walls of dining areas, restaurants, and traditional kitchens in India.

Akshaya Tritiya is believed to be the birthdate of Annapurna Devi. The festival date changes every year as it is set as per the lunisolar of the Hindu calendar. According to the Gregorian calendar, it falls in April or May annually. This day is considered to be extremely auspicious and favorable for purchasing gold jewelry. Anything you invest in on this day will never stop increasing and growing, as represented by the sacred geometry of Annaupurna Yantra.

Annapurna devi is also shown holding a scripture – Akshamala, and opener of doors of Moksha in her hands instead of a container and ladle. This demonstrates Annapurna Devi being spiritual as opposed to being about food and materialistic needs and wants only.

How to Meditate on Annaupurna Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Annaupurna Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Annaupurna Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Annaupurna Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1st Layer of the Shaktona or two interlocked triangles to 2nd Layer of an upward pointing Triangle to the 3rd Layer of the large Inverted Triangle to the 4th Layer of the Square to the 5th Layer of the Circle in the outermost part. These are the steps or Avaran of Annaupurna yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Annaupurna Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Annaupurna Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
