In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1^st Layer of the Inverted Triangle to the 2^nd Layer of the first circle to the 3^rd Layer of the second circle to the 4^th Layer of the third circle to the 5^th Layer of the larger Inverted Triangle to the 6^th Layer of the Circle to the 7^th Layer of the 8 petals of Lotus to the 8^th Layer of the Squares in the outermost part. These are the steps or Avaran of Chinnamasta Pujan yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu. 

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra Diagram accurately.
