This Root and Bark is from a plant called Ark (in Sanskrit) and Aak (in Hindi). The uniqueness of this Aak plant is that it is white in colour, with white flowers and green and blue leaves. This plant is very rare and scarcely found. The exceptional Swetark root has several health benefits and it considered extremely sacred as it has a unique feature; when the bark and the thin wood over the root is peeled off, an image of Lord Ganesha can been seen below it. This image is called Shwetarak Ganpati, which is very auspicious to be worshipped.
You can keep the Shwetark root in the Puja alter or hang it on the wall.
