Book Gudi Padwa Puja on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa on 22nd March, 2023 (Wednesday)
The Brahma Purana states that Gudi Padwa is the day on which Lord Brahma created the universe and the Satyuga began. The day of Gudi Padwa is celebrated all cross India and the world with some variations. It is celebrated as a new year in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh the day is celebrated as Ugadi. The day of Gudi Padwa is considered as very auspicious to start new ventures or to buy new possessions such as a house, car, gold and more. On the day homes are decorated with rangolis and torans. On the day of Gudi Padwa, a Gudi is hosted in front of every house, which is also known as 'Brahmadhvaj' or the flag of Lord Brahma. The Gudi which is also a symbol of victory is made using a decorated bamboo stick with an inverted copper pot with swastika symbol on it, the Gudi is decorated with silk cloth, mango and neem leaves, marigold flowers and coconut. The Gudi also symbolizes the coronation of Lord Ram after his return to Ayodhya defeating the demon king Ravana. On the day of Gudi Padwa Lord Ram, Goddess Saraswati and Lord Brahma are worshipped.
Objectives: The Gudi Padwa Puja is performed to invite auspiciousness, prosperity, good fortune and good health in the coming year
Puja service includes: Kalash Sthapana, Panchang Sthapana (Gauri Ganesh, Punyavachan, Shodash Matrika, Navgraha, Sarvotabhadra), 64 yogini Pujan, Shetrapal Pujan, Swasti Vachan, Sankalpa, Ganesh Pujan and Abhishek, Navgraha Pujan and 108 chants of each planetary mantra, Invocation of major Gods and Goddesses in Kalash, Maa Saraswati Mantra Japa 1100 times, Ram Mantra Japa 1100 times, Brahma Mantra Japa 1100 times, Homa, Aarti and Pushpaanjali.
