Bahuchar Mata is a powerful Shakti form worshipped primarily in Gujarat. As per legend, she was a warrior-goddess who, when attacked by a bandit named Bapaiya, transformed his life by forgiving him and commanding him to live as a eunuch and serve the divine. This marked the beginning of her association with the Hijra (transgender) community, who revere her as their spiritual mother.
