Bal Arogya Puja for Health of Children

Every parent wishes for their child to grow with good health, strength, intelligence and vitality. Bal Arogya Puja is specially performed with a Sankalpa for the health, longevity, protection and overall well-being of children. 

The central prayers in this Puja are Ayushya prayers for long and healthy life, along with the worship of Lord Dhanvantari, the divine physician and bestower of Arogya. Lord Ganesha is worshipped for removal of obstacles and for Buddhi, wisdom and healthy development, while Lord Kartikeya is invoked for strength, courage, vitality and protection.  

Together, these prayers seek the blessings of Ayush (long life), Arogya (health), Bala (strength), Buddhi (intelligence) and Raksha (protection) for the child.  
The Puja may be performed for infants, young children and growing children. An appropriate Sankalpa may also be taken during pregnancy for the health and well-being of the mother and unborn child.

Ganesh Mantra

Om Gam Ganapataye Namah Lord Ganesha is invoked for removal of obstacles and blessings of intelligence, wisdom and healthy development.

Kartikeya Mantra

ॐ सरवणभवाय नमः। 
Om Saravanabhavaya Namah 
Lord Kartikeya is invoked for strength, courage, vitality and protection.
