Belpatta

Dried Belpatta also known as Aegle marmelos, Bengal quince, Golden apple, Wood apple, Bel and Vilva is leaf of sacred tree found in Southeast Asia. Belpatta is considered sacred and is used to offer to Lord Shiva during puja and Abhisheka. Belpatta is believed to have natural characteristic to attract positive energies, hence touching the leaf helps imbibe positive energies. 

The medicinal properties of Belpatta are as under:

• When consumed in powered form it helps control cholesterol level in blood.
• Useful in curing diseases like Amoebiasis, Jaundice, loose motion and Diarrhea.
• Helpful for diabetes patients due the leaf’s anti-diabetic properties.
• Helps provide relief from constipation and treat intestinal diseases.
• Due to its antifertility and anti-spermatogenic effect it is not recommended for pregnant women for consumption.
