Due to this the land of Ujjain got torn apart and from it Planet Mars was born. Lord Shiva killed the demon and Planet Mars absorbed the drops of his blood, this is how Planet Mars got its red color. Due to this Mars also became fiery natured (also called “angarak” in local dialects). To calm down Mars all sages applied curd and rice and worshiped Him. Since then to pacify fiery Mangal Dev, the Bhaat Puja is to be done at the birth city of Mangal Graha which is Ujjain.

What will be required from my side to perform Bhaat Puja at Angareshwar temple Ujjain

We will require your name, birth details (date, place, and time of birth) as well as Sankalp (wish for the puja). You can include your loved ones in the puja as well

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja. 
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions
