Bhairava Chalisa Paath

Lord Bhairava Chalisa is a devotional hymn of 40 verses dedicated to worship and venerate Lord Bhairav, the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. He is the guardian Deity of Kashi city and thus is also known by the name Kotwal of Kashi. Lord Shiva took the manifestation of Bhairava to chop-off the fifth head of Lord Brahma in order to curb Lord Brahma's ego. Worshiping Kalabhairav removes all kinds of fears and negativities. He also blesses devotees with supreme protection. Lord Bhairava is also the guardian Deity of all Shakti Peethas, so along with the primary temple of Goddess Shakti there is also a Lord Bhairava temple in all Shakti Peethas. Reciting the Lord Bhairava Chalisa is one of the best and easiest ways to worship Lord Bhairava.
