The prime Deity of Chakshumati Pooja is Surya Dev or Sun GodIn the Chakshush Upanishad (Krishna Yajurveda), there are descriptions stating the treatment of various diseases related to eyesight. The Sanskrit word ‘Chakshu’ means ‘eyes’. It is said that to heal the ailments of the eyes, one must offer prayers and worship Surya, the Sun God or Surya Dev. In the Vedas and Upanishad, Surya Dev is regarded as the one who dispels the darkness and is the epitome of vitality, power, brilliance, intellect etc. Sun is the ‘giver of life’, the nurturer of life and is worshipped as Surya Dev. The Sun represents self-realization and is the planet that directs us toward light, illuminates the mind. 

All the living entities derive their sight and vision from Sun for He is associated with eyesight, light, knowledge and divine brilliance. Ancient yogis and saints have always recommended the worship of Sun for good health especially for one’s eyesight. Eyesight problem and ailments are common and often we suffer from weak eyesight, blurriness, night blindness, lazy eye and other ailments. Allow us to view your numinous appearance. O lord of the radiance, we offer our obeisance to you! Please take us off the asat (ignorance, falsity) toward the sat (Absolute Truth). Kindly take us away from darkness and lead us toward the light of knowledge, from mortality to immortality. There is no one to be compared with your brilliance. You are sat chit ananda personified. We offer obeisance to you thousand times. We offer prayers to Lord Vishnu Who is the ultimate source of everything’.

Charity, Donation & Dakshina Performed After Chakshumati Pooja & Havan

After completion of all puja rituals certain items are donated by Rudra Centre Puja Services on behalf of the Yajman/Participant of the Puja as per Hindu Shastras. Dakshina is given to the Pandits after chanting the Mantras, some items are donated to poor people, some are donated to temples, some items are offered to animals like cows, dogs, cats, birds which helps in wish fulfilment of the Yajman/Participant as per the Sankalpa.

Puja Basket/Tokri consisting of energized Items will be shipped to the Yajman/Participant on their given address. These Items have been used & energized in the puja and hold on to the energy of mantra chanting & rituals. 

The Puja Tokri will consist of: 

Surya Yantra: Yantras are geometric representation of deities. This yantra can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja altar. The best direction for the yantra will be North East Facing South West. 
7 Mukhi Rudraksha: This rudraksha helps one attract wealth, peace, prosperity and new opportunities. You can get in touch with RRST therapist for guidance. 
Silver Tabeez: This amulet consists of Surya Beej Mantra written on Bhojpatra which was energized in the Puja. It can be worn around the neck. 
Mauli/Molly Thread: This Holy thread can be tied on the right hand
Dry Fruits Prasad: These were offered to Sun God during the Chakshumati Puja vidhi (procedure) and can be consumed by the Yajman/Participant
Puja Coins: Pure Silver Puja coin of Ganesh, Laxmi & Saraswati will be sent which can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja alter. These coins bless the yajman/participant with prosperity & luck
Tilaks: Haldi Kumkum Sandalwood Paste/Powders are sent which can be applied on the Yantra, Deity Idols or Forehead while doing puja
Vibhuti/Holy Ash: The Ash from the Dhanvantari Yajna (Homam), will be sent which can be applied on your forehead, throat, chest, biceps. 
Holy Betel Nut: Betel Nut decorated in holy thread will be sent for good luck
Prosperity Bowl: A Prosperity Bowl consisting of Gomati Chakra, Cowry, Sriphal, Lotus Seeds and Shell to be kept in cash box or wallet or money lockers for financial prosperity.

The below mentioned instructions are just suggestions to attune to the puja before you participate in the Chakshumati Puja online or in person. However due to hectic/busy lifestyle one may not be able to follow all the suggestions mentioned below and it is completely okay you will still receive the benefits of the puja

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja. 
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions

We will require your birth details (date, place and time of birth) 
Gotra or Clan Name or Family Name (if you don’t know these details you can provide us with the name of your Father & Mother) 
Sankalp or Wish/Intention of the puja which will be translated into Sanskrit and recited by the Head Priest Your Photograph

Note all the above details are optional and we can perform the puja on your behalf even if you do not have all the details mentioned above. We can perform the puja just with your Name also.

The number of chants to be chanted during the Puja and Homam depends on individual choice. Higher the number of chants the more powerful the effects of the puja.
