Goddess Varahi Brass Idol

A glorious idol of Goddess Varahi in shiny Brass is crafted by skilled artisans in the South Indian art form. Goddess Varahi or Varahi Amman is a form of Shakti, one of the seven Matrikas, the feminine energy of Lord Varaha, the third Avatar of Lord Vishnu. She is a warrior Goddess, the commander-in chief of the army of Goddess Tripura Sundari, She has the face of a wild Boar, like Lord Varaha, but looks enchanting. The Idol portrays Varahi Devi sitting on a Lotus, in Lalithasana, Her right lower hand is raised in the Abhaya Mudra, as assurance of Her protection and blessings. Her right lower hand is in the Varada Mudra for granting boons and material wealth. In Her other six arms, She is holding the Shankha, Chakra, Gada, Padma, Mushala, Khadga. The excellent craftsmanship is apparent in the meticulously carved detail of facial expression, Her warrior attire, ornaments, the beautiful Karanda Mukuta(crown) on Her head and Her posture. 

Behind Her is a beautiful arch, crafted in the traditional Prabhavali art , with the Kirtimukha(a ferocious figure) in the top mid point of the arch, guarding the Deity.
