Mantra Pushpam Puja

A ritual dedicated to invoking the divine essence of water, abundance, and immortality.

This sacred Mahapuja is performed to honour water as the primal source and essence of all creation. Through this worship, devotees connect with the Divine that sustains life, bestows prosperity, and grants immortality. Water is regarded as the carrier of purity, fertility, and healing, and by chanting the Mantra Pushpam and offering it with flowers, blessings of peace, harmony, family well-being, spiritual growth, and deep inner purification are invoked.

Puja Services Includes

The puja commences with Purification and Sankalpa, where sacred waters from holy rivers are invoked into a Kalash with prayers to Varuna, Surya, Chandra, and the cosmic forces. The devotees take their sankalpa for health, wealth, prosperity, and liberation. Ganapati Puja is then performed to remove obstacles and bring auspiciousness, followed by Navagraha Avahana to harmonize planetary energies and align the ritual with cosmic order. 

The heart of the ceremony is the chanting of the Mantra Pushpam, where Pandits and devotees together recite the complete hymn. With each verse, flowers and drops of water are offered into the Kalash, symbolizing the union of devotion and the life-giving element. The sanctified waters are then used for Abhishekam of the Shiva Linga , representing the eternal flow of divine grace. Following this, Brahmins perform 108 Lotus or Flower Offerings, each accompanied by the mantra “Om Pushpeshwaraya Namah”, signifying the blossoming of inner purity and consciousness.   

The puja concludes with a radiant Maha Arati with camphor and deepam, filling the space with divine light and auspicious vibrations. Finally, Teertham (holy water from the Kalash) along with sanctified fruits and sweets is distributed as Prasad, carrying the blessings of the ritual to all participants.
