Narmada Shivling - V

Lord Shiva is also known as Gangadhar as the River Ganga flows from His head or through His matted hair. The Gangadhar Narmada Shivling when installed and worshipped bestows all the merits of worshipping the potent Narmada Shivling. The holy Ganga River is very important for India. The legend of River Ganga says that, in Her pride, She underestimated Lord Shiva\'s powers to contain Her flow. But when Lord Shiva easily held Her force in His Jata(matted hair) Gangaji realised the how powerful Lord Shiva was. The Gangadhar Narmada Shivling can be worshipped to gain patience, inner balance, confidence in one\'s own powers and easy flow of life.

The Shivling has been worshipped since time immemorial as the formless Lord Shiva. It is ardently worshipped by performing Abhishekham with a mixture of Cow\'s Milk, Water, Curd, Honey, Ghee(clarified butter), along with chanting of Lord Shiva Mantras which bestows His benevolent blessings. 

The powerful Narmada Lingam or Shivling is a Swayambhu Shivling, which means it is self manifested which denotes presence of God in it. The Narmada Lingam is a naturally formed stone, found only in the beds of River Narmada, which runs through Madhya Pradesh, India. The Lingam is rolled into its form by the flow of the River over many years. The Narmada Shivling is considered the best Shivling to worship, especially at home and possess the highest vibration frequency compared to any other stone on Earth.

The Gangadhar Narmada Shivling is highly virtuous when worshipped at home and brings harmony in relationships, shields the family members with strong protection, provides peace, brings prosperity, happiness in family, dissolves sins and negative Karmas, elevates spiritually and fulfils wishes of the devotees.
