Natraja & Shivagami Bronze Idols

The auspicious set of Lord Natraja and his consort Goddess Shivagami are beautifully crafted from high quality bronze by craftsmen by Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. The deities are seen to be standing on a pedestal with hands positioned in the blessing pose. The brilliantly crafted idol illustrates the finer detailing of ornaments and clothing, thereby giving them an enticing appeal. These idols together signify unity, compassion, harmony and prosperity. The idols are made by lost wax process, also called cire perdue, a method of metal casting in which a molten metal is poured into a mould that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the mould is made, the wax is melted and drained away.
