Pashupatinath Shivling in Sphatik with Nandi

This Shivling is entirely made of sphatik (crytal) stone. It features the All-aspicious five-faced Lingam with artistically crafted Yoni (the base).

The five faces on the Lingam are of Lord Pashupatinath, an incarnation of Shiva, meaning the lord of animals. They are Sadyojata, Vamadeva, Tatpurusha, Aghor and Ishana and face West, North, East, South and Zenith. They also stand for the Five Elements of creation: Earth, Water, Light, Air and Ether.

It also features the face of Nandi, Shiva's eternal servitor, sticking out and the serpent around the Yoni. Water poured over the Lingam dribbles through the five face, moving out through the mouth of Nandi.
