Punsavana Sanskar Puja

Punsavana Sanskar Puja is one of the sixteen sacred Shodasha Samskaras prescribed in the Vedic tradition. It is performed during pregnancy to invoke divine blessings for the protection, healthy growth, and overall well-being of the unborn child, while also ensuring the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the mother.  

The word Punsavana signifies the sacred process of nurturing and strengthening the fetus through divine grace. The ritual seeks the blessings of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Gauri, the Divine Mothers (Matrikas), the Navagrahas, and other deities for a safe pregnancy, healthy fetal development, and a smooth childbirth. It also helps remove negative influences, strengthens positive energies around the mother and child, and creates a spiritually auspicious environment for the arrival of the new life.  

This ancient Vedic Sanskar is performed with powerful mantra chanting, sacred rituals, and a Yajna (fire ceremony), invoking divine protection for both mother and child throughout the pregnancy.

Meaning:

"We meditate upon the Supreme Creator from whom all creation emerged. May the Divine Architect, who shapes every form and nurtures life from its very beginning, bless the unborn child with perfect health, strength, proper growth, divine protection, and a life filled with virtue, longevity, and spiritual well-being."

Video of Sankalpa (sacred intention), along with multiple videos of the Puja, mantra chanting, and Homa, will be shared with you in real-time while the rituals are being performed.
