Join the Sat Chandi Chaitra Navratri Mahapuja, a sacred nine-day spiritual observance dedicated to the Divine Mother Durga during the auspicious festival of Chaitra Navratri. This powerful period is said to be a time when the divine energies of the Goddess are especially active, helping devotees overcome obstacles, purify their minds, and invite spiritual strength and blessings into their lives.
The Mahapuja begins on 19th March 2026 with Ghatasthapana, the ritual installation of the sacred Kalash symbolizing the presence of the Divine Mother. Over the next nine days, elaborate Vedic rituals, mantra chanting, and sacred recitations of Sat Chandi Path will be performed to invoke the blessings of Ma Durga and Her many divine forms. These rituals are performed to seek protection, prosperity, and spiritual growth for the devotees participating in the puja.
A special highlight of this Navratri is Navami Tithi on 26th March 2026, which coincides with Ram Navami, the birth anniversary of Lord Ram. According to tradition, Lord Ram worshipped Goddess Durga before his battle with Ravana to seek Her strength and blessings. On this auspicious day, special prayers and Abhishek will be offered to Lord Ram, making this Navratri even more significant as Ram Navaratri.
The Mahapuja will conclude on 27th March 2026 with a grand Yagna performed using sacred herbs and havan samagri. This final ritual marks the completion of the Navratri observances and symbolizes the offering of prayers, gratitude, and devotion to the Divine Mother while seeking her continued blessings for peace, prosperity, and spiritual well-being.
Navratri symbolizes the victory of divine consciousness over negativity and ignorance.
Each set of three days during Navratri honors a different aspect of the Divine Mother:
Days 1–3 – Ma Kali
The fierce protector who destroys negativity, ego, and evil forces.
Days 4–6 – Ma Lakshmi
The bestower of prosperity, abundance, and spiritual wealth.
Days 7–9 – Ma Saraswati
The goddess of wisdom, creativity, knowledge, and spiritual illumination.
The Sat Chandi Mahapuja is one of the most powerful and elaborate rituals in the Shakta tradition, performed to invoke the supreme energies of the Divine Mother.
This sacred ritual involves the recitation of the Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmyam or Chandi Path) 100 times.
The Durga Saptashati, drawn from the Markandeya Purana, contains 700 sacred verses across 13 chapters, glorifying the Divine Mother and narrating her victory over Mahishasura, the demon symbolizing ignorance and ego.
Participants in the Mahapuja receive blessings not only from Ma Durga, but also from:
Start Date: 19th March 2026 – Ghatasthapana (Navratri Day 1)
End Date: 27th March 2026 – Dashmi (Navratri Parana)
Puja Timing: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily
Scriptures describe specific spiritual benefits based on the number of recitations:
