Shani Jayanti, also known as Shani Amavasya, is observed as the divine appearance day of Bhagwan Shani, the son of Surya Dev and the ruling deity of planet Saturn. Falling on Vaishakh Krishna Amavasya (Chaturdashi-Amavasya Tithi), this powerful occasion is dedicated to honoring the Lord of Karma, Discipline, and Justice.

Bhagwan Shani, the Karma Karaka, is revered as the cosmic judge who bestows results strictly in accordance with one's thoughts, speech, and actions. In Vedic astrology, Saturn is a slow-moving planet that signifies trials, obstacles, delays, and deep lessons. His influence during Sade Sati or Dhaiya can cause challenges, misfortunes, and setbacks. However, when favourably placed, Shani Dev blesses the devotee with long life, wealth, land, stability, spiritual strength, and unmatched success earned through perseverance.
