What is Kamla Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Kamla Yantra represents the personification of Kamala Devi, who is revered as a symbol of abundance, integrity, virtue, and benevolence. The four hands symbolize four spiritual virtues. Her personal charm is widely regarded by her excellence. She consistently emanates an aura characterized by divine happiness, mental and spiritual contentment, and prosperity. The deity assumes a seated position atop a fully bloomed lotus, which serves as a symbolic representation of divine truth. She extends her palm in order to bestow blessings upon individuals.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Kamla Yantra comprises the sacred syllable Shreem on its Bindu or central point. Shreem originates from the Sanskrit root Shree, which can also be written as Sri and is used as a sign of respect or to show that someone is wealthy and happy. People believe that the 'm' sound belongs to the gods, so putting it together with 'shree' shows respect for the devas (gods). A Shaktona is around the Bindu denoting the power of creation. These two interlocked Triangles stand for the masculine principle which is pointing upwards (Shiva) and the feminine principle which is pointing downwards (Shakti). 8 petals of Lotus surround the central geometry. The Lotus is closely related to Kamala devi who is often seen the same as Lakshmi devi. Kamala also known as Kamalatmika or Kamalalaya means “the one who dwells in lotuses”. The left side of the yantra has an image of Kamala devi seated inside a Lotus flower. The Lotus flower is a sign of spiritual awakening as well as creation and devotion. Because of how it grows and blooms, the Lotus has been linked to the idea of enlightenment, or achieving a higher level of consciousness above the material world. It shows how pure a person's faith is and how much they are willing to give up for their god. The way a lotus flower grows from the mud and turns into a beautiful flower shows how a person can rise above their imperfections and devote themselves to their higher Self or God. Taken as a whole, this is a powerful yantra for getting what you want, being wealthy, and being successful. It makes the worshiper joyful and gives the power to make your deepest wishes come true and increases your good luck.

Kamala devi is often shown wearing a red dress and wearing a lot of gold jewelry. She has a golden skin tone. She looks like she has four arms. She holds lotus flowers in two of her arms, and with the other two, she makes the Varada Mudra and the Abhaya Mudra, which mean "giving boons" and "not being afraid," respectively.

Lakshmi devi is depicted as the loving wife to Narayana, and she is often shown massaging his feet. Kamala, on the other hand, is shown to be more independent in her role as the devi who brings happiness and prosperity. Even though she is still regarded as Vishnu's beloved, she is better known as the giver of material and divine bliss on her own.

Kamala is the Tantric form of Lakshmi mata. Kamalam is the word for a lotus flower, and it stands for the three most important parts of material life, namely fertility, wealth, and luck. She is also regarded as the source of the best health. In the context of Mahavidya, she is also linked to incarnations of Shakti like Sita and Rukmini. However, she is linked to two of the Saptamatrikas, Varahi and Vaishnavi, who are also forms of Vishnu.

In her role as Kamala, she is also regarded as one of the embodiments of Kali, the formidable manifestation of the divine feminine energy known as Shakti. Kamla is also known by various other names, including Parvati, Durga, and Bhagavathi.

How to Meditate on Kamla Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Kamla Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Kamla Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Kamla Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1st Layer of the Shaktona or two interlocked triangles to 2nd Layer of the Circle to the 3rd Layer of the 8 petals of lotus to the 4th Layer of Squares in the outermost part. These are the steps or Avaran of Kamla yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Kamla Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Kamla Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
