What is Siddh Buddh Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Siddh Buddh Yantra is a powerful tool to bring balance to the mind and the thinking process by harnessing the potential of natal Mercury and mitigating its negative effects. Mercury is strongly associated with all forms of communication, verbal, written, and nonverbal. It governs how people express ideas, thoughts, and information, as well as their ability to communicate their ideas clearly and effectively.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Siddh Buddh Yantra comprises a numerical grid of 3 arrows with 3 columns (3x3) with etched numbers on each box. When added up either horizontally or vertically it always totals 24. In numerology, the number 24 is seen as a combination of the energies and qualities of the numbers 2 and 4. Harmony, balance, cooperation, diplomacy, relationships, and intuition are all linked to the number 2. The number 4 is linked to being practical, stable, organized, and building a strong base. When these energies come together to make the number 24, we see a blending of the features of both numbers into harmonious partnerships and a practical structure and understanding. The number 24 has to do with how important it is to have good relationships (2) within a set of rules and guidelines (4). It unfolds balance between being sensitive to other people's feelings and working together with them, and being practical and taking responsibility
for what you do. The yantra includes an etched image of Budha Deva below the grid. Taken as a whole, this is an extremely beneficial yantra for ensuring a positive stream of social interactions and, ultimately, success in all of our pursuits through mutual understanding with others. This yantra is very beneficial at all ages.

Budh Graha (Planet) is one of the prime celestial bodies that is worshiped in Hinduism. Budh or Mercury is said to be the son of Lord Chandra and Tara, wife of Brihaspati. The Rigveda also shows the association of Mercury with Lord Vishnu. Budha (Mercury) is known to be the lord of intellect, humor, fine arts and wit. One’s ability to gain mastery in mathematics and astrology is believed to be influenced by Planet Budh. According to the Puranas, Budha God is depicted as having yellow skin and clothes and he is mounted on a lion’s back. Worshiping Budh God clears all your academic and career related problems.

In western astrological traditions Mercury has been regarded as the messenger of the Gods for thousands of years, hence Mercury is considered as the planet of communication, intelligence, learning, and flexibility. It affects how people think, process information, express themselves, and interact with the outside world. Therefore, Mercury plays a pivotal role in relationships.

How to Meditate on Siddh Buddh Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Siddh Buddh Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Siddh Buddh Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Siddh Buddh Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the upper left number of the grid and move your gaze to the upper right number etched on it. Continue doing the same in the middle arrow from right to left. Then move your gaze from the lower left to the lower right. These are the steps or Avaran of Siddh Buddh yantra.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Siddh Buddh Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Siddh Buddh Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above, however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
