Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Tara Yantra embodies the divine essence and virtues of goddess Tara, a benevolent and very protective deity. The yantra is a beautiful arrangement of geometrical shapes and symbols, designed to aid meditation and prayer. It invokes Tara's blessings, wisdom, and guidance. Practitioners utilize the Tara Yantra as a means to center their minds and establish a profound connection with the spiritual essence of Tara. Through this connection, they seek her guidance in conquering obstacles and attaining inner serenity. Additionally, Tara Yantra is used to eliminate poverty and life's losses. This is a yantra of prosperity.
The 2-dimensional yantra comprises an inverted Triangle around its Bindu or center representing the feminine energy and supreme power of Shakti, surrounded by a Circle, which stands for movement and rotation which is central to the functioning of the macrocosmic progression of the universe. Its outward part is encircled by 8 petals of Lotus. These lotuses represent purity and stand for seats for the devas. Four Squares in the outermost part of the yantra also known as Bhupura relates to the four cardinal directions and the material world. Taken together, the Tara Yantra presents a simple yet powerful geometrical shape for complete protection.
Tara yantra is strongly worshiped by entrepreneurs for success. She is described as a benevolent, compassionate, gentle and spirited young woman, eager to help and to protect her devotees. The Tara Yantra attracts great accomplishments in all the spheres of life, including in business, career and family life.
According to the ancient scriptures, Goddess Tara is associated with the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean). After consuming the dangerous poison Halahala, Bhagawan Shiva became unconscious in order to bring Him back to the conscious state, Goddess Tara appeared in the form of mother and fed milk to Bhagawan Shiva and He gained consciousness. Hence, Bhagawan Shiva and Goddess Tara came to be known as 'Neelakantha' and 'Neela Saraswati' respectively.
It is said that due to the blessings of Goddess Tara, Bhagawan Kuber became the God of Wealth. Because of her compassionate, loving, and caring nature, the tantric sadhaks offer prayers to Her as She blesses Her devotees with unlimited knowledge, eloquence, and excellent communication skills. Just by keeping a Tara Yantra in the house, a person can get miraculous results and attain wealth and prosperity in life.
As per ancient scriptures a yantra work in tune with the cosmic order. Every frequency/sound creates a waves vibration pattern which can be observed through various means and in turn sacred geometrical patterns contain divine frequencies. In Modern times this research has been done in the field of Cymatics.
Yantras are sacred geometrical patterns which are actually wave patterns of different Deities & Energies created by their inherent frequency. Just like how Specific Mantras aligns us with specific Deities & Energies, Yantras are tools which can be installed, worshipped & meditated upon to achieve union with these divine principles. Meditating on the Tara Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Tara Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.
One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Tara Yantra at their Eye Level.
Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.
Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1st Layer of the Inverted Triangle to the 2nd Layer of the Circle to the 3rd Layer of the 8 petals of Lotus to the 4th Layer of the Squares in the outermost part. These are the steps or Avaran of Tara yantra.
Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.
Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.
After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Tara Yantra Diagram accurately.
Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Tara Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.
This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
