What is Trishakti Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Trishakti Yantra is a powerful combination of Three holy symbols: Om, Swastik, and Trishul (Trident). It is a very auspicious energy sign to place on a wall or at the entrance to your home or office to make it triply fortunate. It is also regarded as a potent tool to correct Vastu defects.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Trishakti Yantra comprises the Tri Shakti Symbol is the sacred combination of three holy symbols: Om, Swastik, and Trishul (Trident).

Shiva's Trident represents the three qualities of nature, or gunas, and thus the three functions of Creator, Preserver, and Regenerator. OM represents the essence of Hinduism. It signifies unity with the Supreme, the union of the corporeal and spiritual beings. It is the holiest syllable, the first sound of the Supreme Being. The Swastika refers to prosperity or an auspicious object, and specifically to a mark made on a person or object to signify good fortune. To further enhance its power it is encircled by the figure of the Sun. Taken together, the Trishakti Yantra consists of a combination of very powerful symbols for prosperity and protection in all the spheres of life. By installing it in a home, it infuses the dwelling with positive energy and dispels any negative or stagnant energies.

The trishul or trident of Shiva (the javelin-like weapon with three points) represents the three gunas: Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. The Trishul is the symbol of supremacy. Through these three gunas, which are composed of Maya-Shakti or mind and matter, Bhagawan Shiva controls the world. It has been declared that OM, tat, and sat are the three names of Brahman, who is Truth, Consciousness, and Bliss.

Swastika is derived from the Sanskrit word swasti, which means "good" and "being." The sublime implications, in terms of the cosmic energy currents positioned in the unique pattern of the swastika, correspond to the symbolism of the swastika, which is prosperity and good fortune.

Sun deity Surya represents power, strength and prosperity in life. It eliminates negative karma and makes the individual progress in all areas of life.

How to Meditate on Trishakti Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Trishakti Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Trishakti Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Trishakti Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by contemplating the OM symbol which is placed at the center, then move your gaze to the Swastika below it and then to the Trishul above it. Expand your gaze to the Circle and the outwardly pointing flames resembling the Sun. These are the steps or Avaran of Trishakti yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Trishakti Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Trishakti Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
