Goddess Laxmi is the consort of Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth. The stalk of a Lotus extends from the navel of Lord Vishnu with Lord Brahma, the creator of the Universe, sitting on it. The Puranas say that Lord Brahma was born out of the navel of Lord Vishnu.
