Brahma ji Shaligram Murti

This Lord Brahma idol is skilfully sculpted in Shaligram Shila, which is meritorious to be worshipped at home. The Shaligram Shila is a self-manifested stone which represents Lord Vishnu and brings His divine blessings. In Hinduism, Lord Brahma is the creator of the Universe and is one of the divine Trinity along with Lord Vishnu and Shiva. Lord Brahma’s image is depicted with four heads, which denote the four Vedas. In this idol only three of His heads is seen, and He is sitting on a Lotus. The idol portrays Brahmaji with a crown in each of His head and a beard in each face. Brahmaji has four hands and holds a Lotus, a japamala (rosary), a holy scripture, a pot of holy water, one in each hand. The back of this idol has a spiral marking which is a characteristic of the Shaligram stone and which denotes the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu. Lord Brahma blesses devotees with creative skills, wisdom and knowledge of all kinds, and spiritual advancement. There are many versions of about how Lord Brahma came into being, one of which says that Brahmaji emerged sitting on a Lotus from the naval of Lord Vishnu. The sacred Shaligram shila corrects Vastu Dosha and keeps the dwelling shielded with its high vibration frequency.

The Shaligram shila is collected from Kali Gandaki river in Nepal. This powerful stone can be worshipped without the doing the ritual of Pranprathista (consecration) and the Shaligram does not lose its power even if it breaks or cracks. The worship of Shaligram focuses on six virtues of life which includes creation of wealth, good health, worldly and spiritual pleasures,spiritual progress, protection and righteous living. Worshipping Lord Vishnu/ Krishna sincerely paves the path to Moksha.

Regular worship of Shaligram shila is done by performing the sacred bathing, Abhishek, with water and Tulsi leaves and a mixture of Cow Milk(without boiling), Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar.
