Hanging Mahishasurmardini Brass Shankh

The Supreme Trinity (Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva), with their combined power created Maa Durga or 'Shakti' to kill Mahisasur. 

In a fierce battle against Mahishasura, Goddess Durga defeated and killed the evil demon. The name Mahisasurmardini was attributed to her since then. Maa Durga protects her devotees with her invincible protection.
