This Yoni base with a Jaldhara and serpent is crafted with finesse in heavy shining brass (brass increases strenhgth and immunity). It is compact in size with excellent finish, the Yoni base has cavity in the centre to allow the Lingam to effortlessly rest on it. Jaldhara pot is used for filling water, which continuously drips on the Lingam through the small hole at its bottom. Place Siddh Parad, Gemstone, Sphatik or Narmada Lingam on it, and install in your puja altar for divine blessings of harmony, bliss and spiritual progress.
Yoni base is personification of Goddess Shakti, the active time, and the Lingam personifies Lord Shiva, the passive space. Shivlingam/Shivling signifies their two-in-oneness energy from which all beings originate. The serpent of Lingam reminds us of the purpose of life which is to strive to attain self-enlightenment leading to moksha. And, Jaldhara pot shows that every moment of life should be dedicated to the purpose life, where one must perform all duties and surrender it the Supreme.
Lord Shiva from time immemorial is worshiped in the form of a Shivling.
Symbolic / Spiritual meanings:
Yoni base: a symbol of active energy / Prakriti - female powers of nature affect the creation. Also signifies Satya (Truth), Jnana (Knowledge), and Ananta (Infinity).
Lingam: a symbol of passive energy/ Purusha - the male powers of nature that help create. The word Lingam is derived from the two Sanskrit words laya (dissolution of negativities) and agaman (recreation).
When Yoni and Lingam come together /the union of Prakriti (the female powers of nature) and Purusha (the male powers of nature) - Creation happens! The serpent of the Lingam is the personification of Kundalini (rising spiritual power) usually dormant at the Root Chakra, so the serpent reminds us of our purpose of life, which is to strive to attain Self-Enlightenment by working on/activating the Root (Muladhara) Chakra and reach the Crown (Sahasrara) Chakra.
Thus, the Shiva Lingam symbolizes both the creative and destructive (of negativities) power of the Lord and the devotees feel great sanctity and experience varied benefits.
Placement: Place the Yoni base such that it faces North direction. Then the west face of theLingam is worshipped. The worship of a Shivling always includes an Abhishek usually of milk and water, but commonly with other liquids, including yogurt, honey and clarified butter as well.
