Dakshinavarti Sudarshan Kuber Golden Shaligram Shila

A Shaligram Shila with a beautiful Chakra marking, with Golden streaks, is auspicious for home and desirable for devotees. It is named Dakshinavarti Sudarshn Kuber Golden Shaligram Shila. The Shaligram Shila is a Swayambhu(self manifested) stone and represents Lord Vishnu, the preserver and protector of the Universe. Worshipping the Shaligram Shala brings material contentment, spiritual advancement, good health, righteous living, pleasures of all kinds and superior protection. Dakshinavarti is an auspicious Conch shell, Shankh, which opens on the right side and represents the Goddess of wealth and good fortune, Goddess Laxmi. Lord Kuber is the treasurer of the Heavenly realm, who bestows, riches luxuries, wealth, pleasures, protects ancestral property etc. Sudarshan refers to the name of powerful discus weapon of Lord Vishnu called Sudarshn Chakra, which is also His emblem, denoting protection. The Shaligram Shila is found only in the Kali Gandaki river, Nepal. It is said that no two Shaligrams are same. The spiral Chakra marking resembles the Sudarshan Chakra. Lord Shiva, in the Shiv Puran, mentions the darshan(viewing) or worshipping the Shaligram Shila is equivalent to worshipping a thousand Shivling. It is worshipped by performing the sacred bathing, Abhishek, with Water and Tulsi leaves and a mixture of Cow Milk(without boiling), Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar.
