Turtles are associated with Lord Vishnu. The Lord took His second manifestation as a Kurma avatar. Feeding turtles attracts auspiciousness, wealth, and prosperity. All around the world, people feed animals for joy, happiness, and fulfillment, but in Hindu tradition, the act has special prominence. Even in various Vedic scriptures, the significance and importance of feeding various animals is mentioned. It is believed that one can absolve all sins by feeding animals.
