Goddess Ganga Chalisa is a devotional hymn dedicated to Goddess Ganga. In Hindu Dharma the river Ganga is considered as a living Goddess and is considered sacred as none other. Ganga is regarded as jeevan-dayani meaning ‘giver of life’ and also moksha- dayani meaning ‘giver of liberation’ in Hinduism.
