Janardhan Damodar Kund Narsimha Vaikunta Ram Baan Shaligram Shila

The Shaligram Shila is a sacred stone that represents Lord Vishnu and is often worshipped at home to seek the blessings of the divine Lord. This particular Shaligram stone is called Janardhan Damodar Kund Narsimha Vaikunta Ram Baan Shaligram Shila. The Janardhan form of Lord Vishnu is known to destroy the cycle of birth caused by ignorance and grant the worshipper the awareness of their identity with the Lord. The Shaligram has imprints that are similar to the sacred Damodar Kund lake in Girnar, Gujarat. According to Hindu mythology, immersing the ashes and bones of the deceased in this kund would ensure moksha (salvation) for the departed soul. Vaikunta is a four-headed aspect of Lord Vishnu that represents him as the Supreme Being and Creator of the Universe. Lord Ram, who is another incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is associated with self-confidence, power, self-assurance, and can help one overcome fear and suffering.

As per the Puranas, worshipping Shaligram at home can bestow both material and spiritual benefits. Materially, it is said to bring luxury, longevity, good health, and success. Spiritually, it can help calm the mind and clear cluttered thoughts. The Padma Purana also states that sincere worship of Shaligram can lead to liberation or Moksha. To perform the worship, the Shaligram shila is bathed with a mixture of water, Tulsi leaves, cow milk (unboiled), curd, ghee, honey, and sugar in a sacred ritual called Abhishek.
