Kurma Shaligram Murti I

Lord Kurma carved in sacred Shaligram stone comes in rare design. It features Lord Kurma on a Lotus with upper body of human and lower half of tortoise. He is raising His right hand in Abhayam mudra signifying the blessing of assurance and hold Lotus in His left hands signifying creation and serenity. He holds a conch signifying eternal joy and Chakra signifying protection in His upper arms. The natural spiral pattern on the back looks alluring. The facial attributes has been beautifully carved by the craftsman. Made in Shaligram, the idol helps remove Vastu defects and provides protection from negative energies. Lord Kurma is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu who took form of tortoise to support the sinking Meru Mountain during churning of ocean for extracting Amrit (nectar of immortality).
