There are innumerous potent mantras mentioned in our authentic ancient Scriptures, the Mrit Sanjeevani mantra also known as the Mrit Sanjeevani kavach is one of these Mantras which is believed to possess divine healing properties. Through ages this mantra is known to bless people with the gift of life. Mrit Sanjeevani Puja Mantra Japa and Yajna is a tantric puja done to give life to a dying person. There are many legends associated with the powerful Mrit Sanjivani kavach. According to one legend, long time ago there lived a great saint named Shukracharya. He was intelligent and had immense knowledge. But despite his greatness and wisdom, none of the deities appreciated or recognized his capabilities and instead ignored him. This is when Sage Shukracharya chose to be the Guru of the danavas (demons). The sage went to the woods and hung upside down from a tree in a meditative pose. He stopped consuming food and water. He solely survived by inhaling the smoke that came out of burning leaves fallen on the ground. Soon Lord Shiva decided to test Lord Indra and Shukracharya. Lord Shiva assigned a task to both Indra and Shukracharya. Lord Brahma did not accept the task as he thought that Sage Shukracharya would lose his life. But the sage was determined and accepted Lord Shiva’s task. Soon Lord Indra realized that sage Shukracharya may successfully accomplish the task and planned to stop him from succeeding. Lord Indra made many attempts to distract the sage from completing the task but he failed. Soon Indra’s daughter planned an evil scheme that would make the sage to withdraw from the task. She added chillies to the burnt leaves that were under the tree where sage Shukracharya hung upside down in meditation. The fumes that came out of these burnt chillies suffocated the sage, blood started coming out of his eyes and nose but he did not give up and continued to perform the penance. This is when Lord Shiva appeared and was highly appeased by Shukracharya’s devotion and this is when Lord Shiva Himself gave the Mrit Sanjeevani mantra to sage Shukracharya and instructed him not to misuse this divine mantra and to make use of it only for good purpose. According to another legend, this Mantra was derived by ancient sages by combining the two most powerful mantras, the Maha Mritunjaya Mantra of Lord Shiva and Gayatri Mantra of Goddess Gayatri. In ancient times, Shukracharya, the guru of the demons, combined these two mantras and created this Jada Prabhav Shali (More Powerful & Effective) Mantra to liven up the demons killed in battle.

Shiva Yantra: Yantras are geometric representation of deities. This yantra can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja altar. The best direction for the yantra will be North East Facing South West 
7 Mukhi Rudraksha: 7 mukhi blesses the yajman with wealth and peace. This can be worn on the right hand as a bracelet for best results. You can get in touch with RRST therapist for guidance  
Silver Tabeez: This amulet consists of Mrit Sanjeevani mantra written on Bhojpatra: which was energized in the puja. It can be worn in the neck  
Molly Thread: This Holy thread can be tied on the right hand

The below mentioned instructions are just suggestions to attune to the puja, however due to hectic/busy lifestyle one may not be able to follow all the suggestions mentioned below and it is completely okay you will still receive the benefits of the puja 

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja 
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja.  
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions
