Parashuram Chalisa is a devotional hymn of 40 verses dedicated to Lord Parashuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Reciting the Lord Parashuram Chalisa is one of the best ways to worship and revere Lord Parashuram. Lord Parashuram is also known by many names such as Rambhadra, Bhargava and Bhrigupati. The name Parashuram means “Rama with an axe.” Lord Parashuram was born as a Brahmin but possessed the qualities of a mighty Kshatriya warrior. He was both a sage and a fearless protector of Dharma. Lord Parashuram is regarded as one of the Chiranjeevis (immortal beings) in Hindu Dharma and is believed to reside at Mahendragiri even today.
