Toran or Bandarwar is used to decorate the main entrance door of a home as a welcome gesture for guests. It is usually embellised with bright colour stone beads, Rudraksha beads, shells and auspicious symbols. A Toran is believed to attract good fortune and abundance through grace of Goodess Laxmi.
