Shankhu Naman Diya

The enchanting Shankhu Naman Diya comes in a set of two and is made of heavy, shiny Brass. The Diyas(Oil Lamps) are works of meticulous craftsmanship, with one Diya having the sacred Shankh and the other with the Chakra, which is carved with a radiating Flower pattern and other traditional patterns. The Diyas have a deep dish which allows to hold a good quantity of Ghee/Oil to burn for long duration. The short stands of the Diyas are also etched with lovely ethnic designs. 

The Shankh or Shankhu and the Chakra are sacred symbols of Lord Vishnu. He holds the Chakra or discus weapon in His hand to destroy evil forces and the Shankh represents auspiciousness, good fortune etc. The Shankhu Naman Diya looks glorious when lit and kept in the Alter and bring in the energies of Lord Vishnu in the space that it is kept in.
