The Sphatik (Natural Crystal Quartz) Lingam rests on a beautifully designed brass Jalhari, with a hooded snake in brass coiling around the Lingam. The clear radiance of flawless Crystal Lingam aptly represents the formless and attribute-less Shiva and the Yoni base with brilliant designer carving makes a beautiful representation of Shakti. God idols made of Sphatik (Natural Crystal Quartz) are highly revered because Sphatik serves as a conduit for divine energy, helping devotees connect more deeply with the divine. It also absorbs the energies of mantra chanting and other spiritual practices, amplifying and radiating them back to the devotee. Worship of the Sphatik Lingam, in particular, is considered equivalent to worshipping Jyotirlingas. It bestows happiness, prosperity, harmony, spiritual progress, bliss, fulfillment of desires, and cleanses the aura while promoting positive energies.

Lord Shiva from time immemorial is worshipped in the form of a Shivling.

Symbolic / Spiritual meanings:

  • Lingam Symbolising Lord Shiva, represents Susumnanadi, the axis of the channel, which supplies life force to the physical body through Chakras.
  • Yoni base Symbolizing Shakti, is a representation of the Kundalini (rising spiritual power) usually dormant at the Root Chakra (Muladhara Chakra).

The combination of Yoni base and Lingam signifies the Kundalini Shakti ascending through the Susumnanadi to reach the topmost Crown Chakra (Sahasrara Chakra) by working on/activating the Root (Muladhara) Chakra to purify understandings, cleanse Samskaras (past impressions) and attain Self-Enlightenment. Thus, the Shiva Lingam symbolizes both the creative and destructive (of negativities) powers, and the devotees feel great sanctity and experience varied benefits.

Placement: Place the Yoni base in such a way that it faces North direction. So, the west face of the Lingam is worshipped. The worship of a Shivling always includes an Abhishek/method of worship usually of milk and water, and other liquid include yoghurt, honey and clarified butter as well.
