Surya Kurma Shaligram Shila

This Shaligram Shila is named Surya Matsya Varaha Shaligram Shila and is apt to worship at home for the merits it brings. The Shaligram Shila represents Lord Vishnu and it has been worshipped since ancient times. Surya or Sun is revered as Surya Dev who nurtures our Planet, bestows good health, energy, stamina, success, hope, leadership qualities, brilliance and more. Kurma is the second Avatar of Lord Vishnu, who offered His back as the base of the churning stick during the Celestial Samudra Manthan.

The Shaligram Shila is a self-manifested stone found in the Kali Gandaki River, Nepal, and can be worshipped without the ritual of Pranprathista (consecration). The Shaligram Shila is worshipped by performing the sacred bath, Abhishek, with water and Tulsi leaves and Panchamrit, which is a mixture of Cow Milk(without boiling), Curd, Ghee, Honey and Sugar.
