About Haldi Turmeric Mala

Haldi Mala (Turmeric Rosary):

The word Haldi refers to Turmeric in Hindi language. Haldi is a medicinal plant that finds its mention in the rich Indian study of medicines known as Ayurveda. The Haldi plant holds rich healing properties and is a boon to mankind. The turmeric plant grows in the southwest region of India and has been one of the prime and significant medicinal plants of Ayurvedic medicines for more than 4,000 years. Even today turmeric is highly acknowledged all over the world for its medicinal benefits and is used in allopathic medicines as well. The Turmeric Rosary or the Haldi Mala is made from the natural bulbous roots, the dried turmeric rhizomes of the turmeric plant. The turmeric roots resemble fresh ginger roots but can be easily identified because of its bright yellowish orange colour, the colour of the turmeric powder. In order to make the Haldi mala the dried turmeric rhizomes are ground in natural turmeric powder in a scientific proportion so that they can be moulded in round shape. Turmeric Haldi beads are used to make special prayer malas for specific reasons. The Turmeric beads are strung in thread with knots between the beads and a tassel. Chanting on a Turmeric beads increases your mental focus and enhances spirituality. Turmeric is one of the highly purifying herbs in Ayurveda. A purified object discharges cosmic energies that purify at a subtle level anything that comes in touch. A Turmeric Mala is used to worship Goddess Bagalamukhi and chant Her mantras for protection and destruction of one’s enemies. It is said to balances all the Chakras specifically Solar Plexus/Manipura Chakra that is related to the metabolic and digestive systems.
