About Aghora Pashupatha Homam/Objective of Aghora Homam

The Aghora Pashupatha Homam is a combination of two powerful Homams/Yagnas, which are Aghora Homam and Pashupatha Homam. The prime deity of the Aghora Homam is Lord Shiva who is invoked in the form of Aghora Rudra. Lord Sadashiva (Panchmukhi Shiva) has five faces which are Sadyajata, Vamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha and Eshana. Aghora Rudra is the third face of Lord Bhairava Shiva and depicts Him as the chief of the Bhoot Ganas(Ghosts). Pashupatha(also known as Pashupatastra), is a tremendously powerful and deadly weapon of Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali (a fearsome form of Goddess Adi ParaShakti) which can destroy anything.

Aghora Pashupatha Homam meaning

The Aghora Pashupatha homam is performed for protection from bhoot preta dosha (evil spirits, black magic and negativity), for breaking curses, Hexes, spells, witchcraft, for drishti dosha parihara (protection from evil eye) and from court cases. It forms a protective shield around the house and participant of the Homa and his/her family from Bhoota, Preta, Pishacha, Shakinee, Dakinee, Brahma Rakshasa etc. Performing this Homam helps tide over all forms of negativities, enemies and such other harmful forces. 

Lord Shiva in His fierce form of Aghora Rudra, provides invincible protection to His devotees and destroys evil forces. Lord Aghora Rudra also represents fire energy which transmutes all that is evil and negative. Legend has it that during the battle of Kurukshetra, in the Mahabharata, on advise of Lord Krishna, Arjuna had meditated on Lord Shiva for the mighty weapon, Pashupatha or Pashupatastra. Pleased with Arjuna, Lord Shiva granted the Pashupatha to Arjuna, to help him conquer enemies and overcome problems and difficulties. Though Arjuna did not use the Pashupatha, but it is believed that the mere presence of the this divine weapon helped Arjuna to win the battle. Yantra : Yantras are geometric representation of deities. This yantra can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja altar. The best direction for the yantra will be North East Facing South West. 
7 Mukhi Rudraksha : 10 mukhi blesses the yajman with protection & peace. This can be worn on the right hand as a bracelet for best results. You can get in touch with RRST therapist for guidance. 
Silver Tabeez : This amulet consists of Aghora Pashupatha Mantra, written on Bhojpatra which was energized in the Puja. It can be worn around the neck. 
Mauli/Molly Thread : This Holy thread can be tied on the right hand
Dry Fruits Prasad : These were offered during the Aghora Homam vidhi (procedure) and can be consumed by the Yajman/Participant

The below mentioned instructions are just suggestions to attune to the puja before you participate in the Puja online or in person. However due to hectic/busy lifestyle one may not be able to follow all the suggestions mentioned below and it is completely okay you will still receive the benefits of the puja

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja. 
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions
