Ayurvardhana (The Ayurvedic Cotton Yoga Mat)

The sacred herb Tulsi (Holy Basil/ Ocimum teruifloram; green) purifies and energises the space while supporting healthy respiratory function. A clean atmosphere for breathing de-stresses the mind-body, enhancing receptivity.

Turmeric (Curcuma Longam; yellow), traditionally used in Indian rituals for it’s natural vibrancy, has an uplifting effect on the auric and energy system. Being a natural anti-depressant, it improves brain function, preparing oneself for higher practice.

Triphala (Terminalia bellirica; Khaki), a combination of three potent herbs, Amalaki, Haritaki and Bhibhitaki, a natural anti-septic, ensures hygiene and health of the mat.

These versatile and energising herbs, are fused into raw organic cotton (a natural conduit), to create a cocoon of energy conducive for spiritual practice.The mat is woven with a unique weave pattern and traction lines that increase grip. The raised traction lines are intentionally placed to support asanas like the "parvatasana".

The back of the mat is hand brushed with natural rubber for enhanced grip.
