What is Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra?

Yantras are intricate and powerful geometric diagrams that hold profound significance in various cultures and traditions. They are geometric representations of specific Deities/Energies like how Mantras are audio/verbal representations of different Gods. Yantras act as channels to invoke the blessings and qualities of these specific deities. The Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra represents Devi Chinnamasta. She is the goddess of control and balance, and she is vital to Kundalini awakening. Chinnamasta Yantra is a powerful and effective Yantra for overcoming negative planetary effects and all negative effects associated with the planet Rahu. This Yantra removes hardship and protects people from poverty and negative energies.

The 2-dimensional diagram of Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra comprises a downward or inverted Triangle around its centre (Bindu) which stands for the power of feminine energy (Shakti). Three concentric Circles follow, representing endless expansion of this energy and manifestation. Another larger Inverted Triangle surrounds the set, again standing for the divine feminine which is encircled by 8 blossoming petals of lotus. On the left side a beautiful image of Chinnamasta Devi is etched along Her mantra at the bottom. Taken together, this is an extremely powerful yantra that denotes the main energy of Shakti or the divine feminine in constant expansion as per the predominance of Inverted Triangles. As a result, this is an extraordinary tool for protection and all-round prosperity and wish fulfillment.

Chinnamasta Devi is often worshiped by devotees desiring spiritual progress, inner power, and enlightenment. Her worship is an element of Tantric rituals, where she is worshiped as one of the Ten Mahavidyas, ten Devis representing various aspects of the supreme feminine power.

Chinnamasta Devi, also referred to as Chinnamastika or Prachanda Chandika, is a Hindu deity and a manifestation of deity Shakti or Devi. She plays an important role in Hindu and Tantric traditions. "Chinnamasta" is derived from the Sanskrit terms "chinnamasta" (severed head) and "masta" (holding), symbolizing her distinctive and striking iconography.

Chinnamasta is typically portrayed as a self-decapitated deity wielding a scimitar and her own severed head. Three streams of blood erupt from her neck, and her severed head and two female attendants or yoginis, Jaya and Vijaya, drink these blood streams. This intense and peculiar depiction symbolizes self-sacrifice, transcending of the physical body, and mastery over life and death.

The Chinnamasta Jayanti, which is celebrated as her birthday, is the most important day dedicated to her. Depending on the Hindu lunar calendar, the date of Chinnamasta Jayanti varies annually. It occurs on Chaturdashi (the fourteenth day) during the Krishna Paksha (the waning phase of the moon) in the month of Jyeshtha (May/June).

On Chinnamasta Jayanti, devotees honor the Devi and seek her blessings through special prayers, rituals, and pujas. They visit temples dedicated to Chinnamasta, perform elaborate ceremonies, and present the deity with flowers, fruits, incense, and other sacred items. To strengthen their relationship with Devi, devotees can also recite Chinnamasta mantras and read her sacred texts and stories.

Yantras are sacred geometrical patterns which are actually wave patterns of different Deities & Energies created by their inherent frequency. How to Meditate on Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra? (Visualization Technique)

Meditating on the Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra is the most powerful way to achieve union with the diagram. Achieving the union is said to reveal all secrets of the world and one is supposed to gain access to knowledge of higher realms. In an oversimplified sense one must recreate the Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra diagram accurately in the mind and visualize it. This visualization technique may sound simple but is quite tough to achieve, one must spend years of sadhana just to create an accurate image of the diagram in their head.

One can start by sitting in a comfortable posture facing east with an accurate image of Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra at their Eye Level.

Perform Pranayama Anolom Vilom (Alternating nostril breaths) 10 times & meditate to purify your mind and thoughts.

Start by focusing on the Centre Point Bindu with your gaze going inward to outward from the Bindu to the 1st Layer of the Inverted Triangle to the 2nd Layer of the first circle to the 3rd Layer of the second circle to the 4th Layer of the third circle to the 5th Layer of the larger Inverted Triangle to the 6th Layer of the Circle to the 7th Layer of the 8 petals of Lotus to the 8th Layer of the Squares in the outermost part. These are the steps or Avaran of Chinnamasta Pujan yantra.

Then your gaze should go from the Outermost Gate back to the Bindu.

Try to avoid blinking your eyes during this process. You can do this for multiple rounds for 30 minutes.

After you can focus with intent for at least 30 minutes (the stamina to just focus may take quite some time to develop) close your eyes and try to recreate the image of the Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra Diagram accurately.

Once you can create and sustain an accurate image of Chinnamasta Pujan Yantra in your mind try to focus one by one on the steps mentioned above and go from Bindu to Outermost gate & Back to Bindu however all this needs to be done in your mind in meditation with your eyes closed.

This visualization technique takes many years to master and bless the Sadhak with material success as well as spiritual augmentation.
